Wellness Wednesday ~ Mindfulness


Happy Wellness Wednesday. As I've shared several times before, I spend most of my Sunday's sitting at home, relaxing, passion planning and watching Super Soul Sunday. This past Sunday's topic was Mindfulness. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Oprah talked about how being Mindful includes:

  • Being aware

  • Non judgmental

  • In the present moment

So for the past few days, I've practiced doing just that. We miss so many amazing moments because we're either on our phones, looking around, creating thoughts in our heads, thinking about what's happened in the past or what's going to happen in the future. But if we take a moment to pay attention to the present moment, so many wonderful things will happen. This is a reminder to myself too, I often drift off thinking about all the things going on in my life and have to remind myself to be mindful.

So how about trying being mindful today?? Don't drift off, put your phone down, and pay attention to your surroundings for a few minutes. Take in the beauty of what the Universe has to offer you. I guarantee you'll discover something amazing!
