About 8 years ago I decided that I needed a change from my normal weight training sessions so I started taking MMA and Kickboxing classes. It was such a game changer in my training. At the time I was actively competing in figure competitions so I needed to be well conditioned and in great shape. I loved my MMA and kickboxing training so much that I only did weight training once a week and Kickboxing 5 days per week. Since then, I've been an avid fan of MMA inspired workouts. Wherever I move, I immediately find a boxing gym to join. So I was over the moon excited when Fitfluential partnered me up with Everlast to put together a few MMA / Kickboxing workouts!
Boxing and MMA inspired workouts are trending and easy to incorporate into your fitness routine. They aren’t only for fighters, they are for anyone who wants to get a great workout in, get / stay in great shape, and who enjoys variety. The equipment involved is minimal and great for at-home fitness, especially cardio. The type of training is functional – i.e. F.I.T. Functional Integrated Training.
I received the following Everlast equipment to use for my workouts: Powercore FIT Bag, Cardio Fitness Training Bag, FIT Gloves. What I love about this equipment that it was easy to assemble (Cardio Fitness Training Bag), easy to use, and there's SO much that can be done with it. If you've spent anytime in the gym, using weights, etc., you'll be happy to know that basically every exercise you do in the gym can be done with this equipment.
There are tons of different workouts that you can do, but I've put together my top 4 for full body conditioning. These workouts are Pinnable so go ahead and save them and incorporate into your daily routines! I'll also be posting video clips on my Instagram (@jana_stewart).
